Two decades ago, newspapers, television and radio media were the main forms. How much the world has changed since then! Our lives since the start of the World Wide Web, the way we interact with people and the way we look for information has changed significantly. Instead of writing letters, we now type email. Instead of researching a topic in an encyclopedia, we type into Google to get our questions and our answers. Certainly the Internet has affected our lives in a major way, and such companies, their branding strategy for the World Wide Web has expanded.

The emergence of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter has revolutionized how we communicate and interact with each other. More than 500 million members on Facebook, and Twitter 190 million 65 million members a day, tweets, with new social media posting has taken the world by storm. Companies recognize that new media is very beneficial because it has a far-reaching audience and with very little cost. As such, many brands now on Facebook and Twitter pages have launched their own to reach out to your target audience and themselves as well as a means of branding as well. An important element of branding and brand among consumers is creating an emotional connection, and they with the new media are able to achieve this goal. Consumers who visit their Facebook page to watch videos, read and post your updates on your wall, and read my tweets on Twitter. Consumers feel a close relationship with the brand, and thus creates a strong emotional connection. Also, for brands to strengthen its brand as a form in your Facebook and Twitter pages can boost your branding strategy. For example, they improve themselves through new media are distributed. Billboards or newspapers rather than through the limited exposure, they are now free to invest around the world can achieve.
